Anyone do any small boat cruising, let's say under 25 ft length? I've done a little, St.Johns River, silver glen Springs, St Augustine ,FL.

.I'm not so sure about northern FL waters, but down here in the Lauderdale/Miami area - the parks, rivers, lakes, Biscayne Bay, Elliot Key and ICW are wonderful for small boat cruising. You can probably make it over to Bimini - I did in my 28 footer, but take extra fuel. It held 113 gallons of gas, but had a very efficient engine - MerCruiser 7.4 Liter MPI (Multi Port Injection) 454 - 310 HP. Bravo 111 outdrive. I went in flat water in the summer for best fuel consumption economy. Do you ever get down this way? Capt. Gin

.By flat water I meant - don't go when the north winds are blowing - the Gulf Stream gets a REAL attitude - which flows north. They collide and it is BAD crossing then - heavy seas!

Yes, I get down there once in a while. I actually looked at a 42 footer to by, down there a couple of weekends ago. Am looking for a bigger boat for my post working life.

`I bought a nice little cruiser in Venice on the Gulf Side of Florida and hit the water a few times in it before I sold it (I hated to see it go, but I made money from the deal and got a newer center console to fishin). If anyone else is looking for a reliable cruiser, talk to the people at Coastal Marine Center boats are a dime a dozen down there, and they have better deals than I've ever been able to find up North.
